Nationals of the European Union, the European Economic Area
and Switzerland
If you are a national of the European Union, the European Economic
Area (Norway, Liechtenstein, Iceland) or Switzerland and would
like to perform assignments in French territory with the benefit
of a work contract under French law;

1/ For nationals of Germany, Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Spain,
Finland, the UK, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands,
Portugal, Sweden, Cyprus, Malta, Norway, Liechtenstein and Iceland
That is nationals of the 15 pre-enlargement members of the
European Union plus those of Norway, Liechtenstein, Iceland, Cyprus,
Malta and Switzerland.
In addition to the obligations and documents requested of all
our consultants, if you do not yet have a French social security
number, you must supply a copy of your European Health Insurance
Card, evidence of a home address in France and details of an account
with a bank in France.

the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Slovenia,

transition phases (except Cyprus and Malta):

Family: family members of workers who are nationals of the EU,
the EEA or Switzerland (wife and descendants aged under 21 or
dependent) are subject to the same system as the person from whom
they derive their rights, whatever their nationality.
Any other persons must hold a residence permit if their stay in
France exceeds three months. They must make their application for
the permit within three months of their arrival in France and for
its renewal in the course of the two months prior to expiry of the
card they hold.
During the transitional phase, family members of a national of a
Member State are issued a residence permit valid for 10 years and
marked “all professional activities”.
